1963

The family business is born as "Talleres Biota" (Biota Workshops) in a small workshop in Zaragoza, taking the family name as reference. In these first years the brand is dedicated to multiple tasks, among which the boilerwork or the locksmithing, but also the first formworks are projected and manufactured.
1965

Se comienzan a fabricar los primeros paneles de encofrado, de manera más industrializada, comercializándose ya por toda España.
1972

COFRESA begins to manufacture the light formwork panels with the system of trusses to make walls, this system doesn't offer a great wall finish, however it brings a great resistance and functionality.
1982

It supposes a turning point in the business trajectory, it is decided the change of the company name to become Cofres Metalicos, S.A. (COFRESA), and also the offices and the workshop are moved to an industrial estate of María de Huerva (Spain). In this same year COFRESA launches to the market the "Light Range V82-B" that, with slight variations, is still manufactured today.
1983

First Spanish manufacturer of support braces for one sided-walls with Light Range panels.
1986

COFRESA designs and register the patent for its horizontal formwork system for slabs, adding a novelty that persists today; The metallic board, which offers a resistance of up to 1,000kg / m2.
1988

The Heavy Range is presented, COFRESA thus becomes the first Spanish manufacturer of this system so resistant and completely metallic to make walls.
1993

The 6 mts support brace for great one sided-walls is carried out.
1994

Launch of the fixed clamp with wedge, which allows to approach, join and align formwork screens with a simple hammer blow on the side of the wedge. Until then the joint was made by tie rods and nuts.
1996

First Spanish manufacturer to offer to the market the Super-Light Range, composed of a chassis of aluminum with phenolic panel, to make as much walls as pillars and columns of handling by hand.
2000

Appearance of the Forja-2 Range to make flat and waffle slabs, flat and hanging beams.
2005

It is presented in SMOPYC 2005 the Cofenol Range, composed of a steel frame with phenolic panel to make walls with a special finish.
2007

The Heavy Range screen is modified to add the steel casting corner, to extend the life of the screen at its weakest point, the corners.
2008

First importance exports, reaching countries as diverse as Ukraine, Morocco, Portugal or Mexico.
2011

Launch of the GIGA and Curvi-Flex ranges to the market, expanding COFRESA's range of formwork in the market.
2016

COFRESA's growth at the international level, with the increasing presence of its formworks in new countries.
